BOURNEMOUTH VS TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR Free Tips & Match Preview

The Spurs will rue their missed chances against West Brom at the Hawthorns stadium on Saturday and the 1-1 draw saw them slip a notch behind Arsenal to the 3rd spot on the Premier League table. Mauricio Pochettino’s boys will have to put the outcome against West Brom behind them and move to Dean Court to play AFC Bournemouth on October 22nd. The Spurs will miss the stoic Toby Alderweireld at the back out with a knee injury. One of the three – Kevin Wimmer, Eric Dier or Cameron Carter-Vickers may be called in to fill the central back position of the injured Belgian. Danny Rose, rested in the West Brom clash, could find his way back into the starting XI on Saturday and so could the recovering striker Harry Kane. Erik Lamela, the Argentine midfielder, could be a casualty given his lackluster performance of late. Big Dutch signing Vincent Janssen could also be under the scanner, not having lived up to expectations. The Spurs have been combining well upfront but goals somehow seem to have eluded them.

Goals are what Bournemouth are suddenly into with the likes of Charlie Daniels, Steve Cook, Junior Stanislas, Callum Wilson and Dan Gosling all getting into the act. Bournemouth will definitely try to exploit the qualitative gap left behind by the injured Alderweireld in the Spurs defense. Junior Stanislas and Callum Wilson will the men to watch out for the Cherries when it comes to scoring opportunities. The hosts don’t exactly have a good record against top-draw teams in the Premier League. Leaving aside their commendable performances in six Premier League outings, it’s loss of 1-3 and 0-4 to Manchester United and Manchester City in the other two, stand out like sore fingers. In fact the last three times they played against Tottenham resulted in sound thrashings of 0-3, 1-5 and 0-5, the latter two being at home. This will be the one of the toughest tests for Bournemouth this season and few expect them to come away with three points or find their way into the top of the table soon (Bournemouth are in the 11th spot with 12 points from their 8 Premier League outings).

The odds for the October 22 clash reflect a similar outcome. But there have been surprises galore this Premier League season. So don’t write the Cherries off just yet.
